Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a complex, often misunderstood condition that affects the whole body. If you’re living with ongoing pain, fatigue, brain fog, poor sleep, and other symptoms that feel impossible to explain—or manage—you are not alone.

Fibromyalgia can feel invisible to others, but very real to those experiencing it. It can affect your energy, mood, relationships, and confidence. Many people go years without a diagnosis or are told there's nothing they can do. But there are ways to support your body naturally and improve how you feel—starting with understanding what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Some common symptoms associated with fibromyalgia include:
-
Widespread muscle or joint pain
-
Fatigue, even after rest
-
Non-refreshing sleep or insomnia
-
Brain fog, forgetfulness or poor concentration
-
Headaches or migraines
-
Heightened sensitivity to pain, light, sound, or touch
-
Digestive issues such as IBS or bloating
-
Restless legs or tingling sensations
-
Low mood, anxiety or irritability
-
Hormonal imbalances or cycle-related flares
-
Feeling “wired but tired”
-
Fluctuations in symptoms without clear triggers
It's important to note that fibromyalgia symptoms can vary widely from person to person and may fluctuate in severity over time. Additionally, fibromyalgia symptoms can overlap with those of other conditions, making daily life more challenging.
Working with Claire
As a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist, I take a whole-body approach to fibromyalgia. I look at the deeper drivers of your symptoms—including gut health, inflammation, nervous system dysregulation, mitochondrial health, nutrient status, and hormonal balance.

My role is to help you make sense of what your body is telling you, identify contributing factors, and create a personalised plan to gently rebuild resilience and energy—without adding more overwhelm.

Why Work With Me?
I understand how complex and exhausting fibromyalgia can be. The ups and downs, the unpredictability, the fear of overdoing it. My approach is rooted in compassion, science, and real-life strategies that fit your lifestyle and energy levels.
Instead of a one-size-fits-all plan, you’ll get a tailored, step-by-step approach that supports you physically, mentally and emotionally.

How Can I Help?
Together, we’ll explore your unique fibromyalgia picture and build a support plan that may include:
-
Nutrition for energy, inflammation, and mitochondrial health
-
Blood sugar balance to support stable energy and pain management
-
Nutrients and supplements to support muscle, nerve, and brain function
-
Gut and immune support for underlying inflammation or dysbiosis
-
Nervous system regulation strategies (e.g. breathwork, gentle routines)
-
Sleep support (both lifestyle and nutritional)
-
Hormone balancing (especially in perimenopause or thyroid involvement)
-
Mitochondrial and cellular support
-
Pacing strategies to manage energy without burnout

Optional Functional Medicine Testing to Consider
Functional testing is not always necessary however it can offer deeper insight into your body and uncover hidden drivers, these may include:
-
Comprehensive stool testing – to assess microbiome balance, inflammation and gut-related immune activity
-
Nutrient status panels – to check for deficiencies in B vitamins, magnesium, vitamin D, and iron
-
Mitochondrial markers – through Organic Acids Testing (OAT)
-
Thyroid function and antibodies – to rule out underlying thyroid imbalances
-
Hormone testing – particularly useful in perimenopausal women
-
Food intolerance or sensitivity testing – if digestive symptoms are present
-
Inflammation and immune markers – such as CRP or homocysteine
Testing is always optional and recommended only when it will truly guide and support your progress. Functional testing is not always necessary, you may wish to take a look at my functional medicine testing packages here.

"After a diagnosis of fibromyalgia and perimenopause I was looking for a way to manage the symptoms I am experiencing naturally rather than through a reliance of pain killers. Claire has helped me so much with my journey after just a few months the cluster headaches I was experiencing have practically disappeared, my energy levels have increased and I feel once again that I am able to cope with life.
