Yes, your poop can provide valuable information about your health. The colour, texture, and consistency of your poop can indicate whether you are properly digesting and absorbing nutrients, as well as give clues about potential health problems.
There is lots of information about what should put into our bodies, but not many people talk about what happens in the toilet bowl! 💩

Certain qualities of your stool can reveal a lot about your health & alert you to any potential problems.
👉🏼 Frequency: Bowel movements range for all of us however ideally we should be passing a bowel movement once a day minimum.
👉🏼 Shape and texture: Your stool should look similar to a snake or candy bar, soft and smooth, and pass through in one piece or several smaller pieces. Various factors such as digestive issues, pathogens, medications, and supplements can change this.
👉🏼 Colour: Healthy stool has a medium to dark brown pigment. The colour of our stools can indicate digestive health or a disorders affecting your pancreas, liver or gallbladder. Blood in your stool should always be taken seriously!
👉🏼 Smell: We may not produce roses however a strong, strange or putrid, foul odour may give us indications.
👉🏼 Pain: Bowel movement should be painless without straining .
