Working with Claire
The majority of food intolerances can result from an immune response linked to factors such as poor digestion, dysbiosis, intestinal integrity. Each person will be individual therefore our aim is to identify problematic foods using elimination diets or food intolerance testing. Our aim will be to remove offending foods, address and remove any ‘bad’ pathogens, calm and optimise absorption, repopulate the gut with ‘good’ bacteria and optimise gut absorption and function.
People with food intolerances understandably often end up removing large food groups from their diet, however, often unaware they may also be removing large groups of nutrients causing possible imbalances and deficiencies in their diets. My aim is not only address but also to educate to ensure your diet and nutrition is as optimal as possible.
Other individuals may have conditions in which certain foods must totally be avoided, such as allergies or an autoimmune condition, such as coeliac disease. All traces of food groups have to avoided, such as gluten, wheat and dairy. This can be a very daunting and confusing time, and meeting your nutritional needs is equally important. Help is at hand, I can help guide you through this time and understand what to avoid, what to eat, how to shop, cook and keep your diet healthy and balanced to keep you in optimal health.
Please note:
Food intolerance testing either be offered as a stand alone service or within a consultation appointment or package where needed.
-
Stand alone testing starts from £149 including a full report and 30minute zoom consultation and feedback with results.
-
Food intolerance testing can be more beneficial alongside nutritional therapy consultation or a packages to provide supoport and education. Often when working with a client we want to focus and work on the cause, nutritional issues and look to reintroduce when once work has been completed on the gut.
“I reached out to Claire after seeing another nutritionist who would not agree with me doing a food intolerance test. I had, what I felt, were typical symptoms of food intolerance, bloating, hives, itchy skin, aching joints and bloating. Claire listened to what I had to say and agreed to do the test in the first instance and see from there. The test came back with 4 foods in the red category and 3 in the amber, one of which was marked 100 - the highest score. Claire followed up the test with a zoom call and we went through what I needed to do next to help alleviate my symptoms. I know she will be at the end of an email if I run into difficulty or making no progress.
I have been nothing but impressed with my interactions with Claire. She has been sympathetic, knowledgeable and full of good advice.
I highly recommend her to anyone who is having problems that suspect may be related to food or diet in some way"
